If you want to get down and dirty and have a whole lot of fun, then these unique off-road running events are for you.

The events are open to both male and female competitors who are 13 years of age and older. Challenge yourself on a course that includes swamp crossings, a spiders web net climb, crawl under barb wire, beautiful native bush trails, tunnels, hurdles, a climbing frame not to mention, mud mud and more mud!

Our events have awesome spot prizes, merit prizes, amazing goodie bags, souvenir coffee mugs, challenging obstacles, a fun atmosphere, hot showers and plenty of free parking. Grab your friends, workmates or family together for a truly amazing experience!

The event is located at Lakes Ranch, an outdoor pursuit/equestrian centre 15 minutes east of Rotorua on SH30. Just follow the signs to Hells Gate and Lakes Ranch is located directly opposite. This venue provides a magnificent course with spectacular scenery for the ultimate experience.

Numbers are limited to 2000 competitors.

Rotorua Marathon is New Zealand’s most scenic and iconic marathon event. For 54 years runners and walkers of all ages have accepted the challenge, taking a lap around the beautiful Lake Rotorua. Today there is a distance for everyone, with a half marathon course through the stunning Redwoods (21.1km), the 10km and 5km fun run and walk.

The Copthorne Off-Road Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5km event and little devils event. Join us in Rotorua for this fantastic run/walk event on Sunday the 3rd of March 2019! Make sure you are part of this outstanding off road Half Marathon through the spectacular Whakarewarewa Forest.

The event is a two lap course utilising scenic trails and smooth gravel forest roads. Other options are the Mitre 10 Mega Quarter Marathon (10.55km) Fun Run/Walk event and the Redstag Timber 5km Fun Run/Walk event.

For the kids… a 1.5km fun run/walk for children aged 3 to 6 years and a 2.5km fun run/walk for children aged 7 to 10 years. Both options are non-competitive, fully supervised and take place prior to the adult events starting. Plenty of prizes will be up for grabs!

Every competitor that finishes the Copthorne Rotorua Off Road Half Marathon, from the Half Marathon to the Little Devils race will receive a stunning finishers medal.

There will be some events held on Sunday the 27th but no Trade and Entertainment. There will be Shearing and Woolhandling, Axemen Competition, Show Hunter Events and Western Riding Events.
